DMF

WHAT IS THE DIOCESAN MINISTRY FUND?

The Diocesan Ministry Fund is the annual appeal campaign that helps fund over 100 services and ministries of the Diocese of Pueblo.

Contributions go to Catholic Charities, seminarians, deacon training, youth and adult religious training, outreach, and many more ministries and services. Each ministry and service helps the Bishop and the Diocese fulfill its mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Diocesan Ministry Fund finances approximately 68% of the diocesan budget.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

  • Contributions are tax-deductible.
  • Giving to the DMF is practicing good stewardship over the gifts God has given to you.
  • The amount pledged through your parish is returned to your parish for religious education and formation ministries and services.
  • You are contributing to the work of this Diocese: Service, Outreach, Education, and Ministry.
  • You can pledge now and extend payments over the rest of the year.
  • Every gift is important: the participation of so many in the work of Jesus Christ is significant.

Councils

The San Juan Catholic Community has various councils to assist the Pastor in his decisions pertaining to the overall functionality to the community as a whole, as well as each individual parish and mission.  Below is a list of our current councils:

The Parish Advisory Councils:  The San Juan Catholic Community has three Advisory Councils, one for each of the three main parishes.  This council's main purpose is to recognize the needs of their parish and to discuss ideas for solutions.  Their ideas are then presented to the Pastor and the Parish Pastoral Council for further review.  The St. Joseph PAC meets every first Tuesday of the month, the Holy Name of Mary PAC meets every second Tuesday of the month and the St. Francis Jerome PAC meets every second Wednesday of the month.

The Finance Council:  This council is made up of representatives from each parish and mission.  They are to discuss the yearly budget with the Pastor and Business Administrator to determine what monies are to be allocated for specific needs of the community.  This council meets on the third Tuesday of every other month.

For more information please contact the SJCC Office at 719-852-2673.
