DMF

WHAT IS THE DIOCESAN MINISTRY FUND?

The Diocesan Ministry Fund is the annual appeal campaign that helps fund over 100 services and ministries of the Diocese of Pueblo.

Contributions go to Catholic Charities, seminarians, deacon training, youth and adult religious training, outreach, and many more ministries and services. Each ministry and service helps the Bishop and the Diocese fulfill its mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Diocesan Ministry Fund finances approximately 68% of the diocesan budget.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

  • Contributions are tax-deductible.
  • Giving to the DMF is practicing good stewardship over the gifts God has given to you.
  • The amount pledged through your parish is returned to your parish for religious education and formation ministries and services.
  • You are contributing to the work of this Diocese: Service, Outreach, Education, and Ministry.
  • You can pledge now and extend payments over the rest of the year.
  • Every gift is important: the participation of so many in the work of Jesus Christ is significant.

Sacraments & Religious Ed

The San Juan Catholic Community has specific requirements for the Sacraments of Baptism, First Penance, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Marriage.  For more information, please refer to the links below.

In addition to our regular Religious Education courses and Sacramental preparation, the SJCC offers a chance for adults and children to receive preparation for Sacraments that were not received at the normal time (not baptized under age 6, no first communion as child, etc.).  Our prep classes for RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) are available beginning in the fall and run weekly with Sacraments to be completed at Easter Vigil.  For more information please refer to the links below for each individual Sacrament or contact Ray Torres, RCIA Coordinator 719-850-1923.

Note: Children enrolled in RCIC should also be enrolled in the regular Religious Education classes at the discretion of the Pastor and Religious Ed Director.

Religious Education Classes are held in each of the three main parishes and run from fall to spring.  Registration is required and fees are due upon registration.  For more information please refer to the individual parish link below or contact the SJCC office at 719-852-2673.
